This Privacy Policy explains how MuhsinAI ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you use the Muhsinai mobile application and related web services (collectively, the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account Information
When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials. If you sign in with Apple, we receive the name and email address provided by Apple Sign In.
1.2 Profile Data
You may choose to provide a display name, bio, and profile photo. Avatar images are uploaded and stored in our cloud storage.
1.3 User-Generated Content
The App stores content you create, including tasks, calendar events, prayer logs, focus sessions, achievements, AI chat messages, pinned conversations, and blocked-app configurations.
1.4 Usage and Quota Data
We track usage quotas such as the number of AI chat turns, tasks created, and events created to manage free-tier and premium-tier limits.
1.5 Location Data
With your permission, we access your device location to calculate accurate prayer times. Your location is cached locally on your device and sent to the Aladhan prayer-time API. We do not store your precise location on our servers.
1.6 Device Permissions and Data
Depending on the features you use, the App may request access to:
- Notifications — to send reminders for prayers, tasks, events, focus sessions, achievements, and daily summaries.
- Calendar (iOS) — to read and write events for two-way calendar sync.
- Reminders (iOS) — to create and update tasks in iOS Reminders.
- Camera and Photo Library — to upload a profile avatar.
- Screen Time / Accessibility (iOS/Android) — to enable the app-blocking focus feature. On iOS this uses Family Controls; on Android it uses Accessibility and Usage Stats permissions.
You can revoke any permission at any time through your device settings.
1.7 AI Chat Data
When you use the AI assistant, your messages and contextual data (such as prayer history, tasks, focus stats, and calendar events) are sent to our AI provider to generate responses. Chat history is stored so you can review past conversations. AI-generated suggestions to create tasks or events are only saved after you explicitly confirm them.
1.8 Payment and Subscription Data
Subscription purchases are processed through Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or Stripe (for web). We receive subscription status and purchase history from these providers. We do not collect or store your full payment card details.
1.9 Device and Technical Data
We collect device type, operating system version, app version, language/locale, and time zone to ensure the App functions correctly and to diagnose issues.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Provide, operate, and maintain the App and its features.
- Authenticate your identity and manage your account.
- Calculate prayer times based on your location.
- Power the AI assistant with relevant context to generate helpful responses.
- Send notifications and reminders you have configured.
- Sync tasks and events with your device calendar and reminders.
- Enable the app-blocking focus feature using installed-app information.
- Process subscriptions and manage access to free and premium features.
- Track usage quotas to enforce plan limits.
- Improve the App and personalize your experience.
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- Comply with legal obligations.
3. Third-Party Service Providers
We use the following third-party services to deliver core App functionality. Each provider processes data only as necessary to perform its designated function:
- Supabase — authentication, database storage, and file storage.
- OpenAI — AI chat processing. Messages and user context are sent to generate responses.
- RevenueCat — subscription management, purchase verification, and restore-purchases functionality.
- Aladhan API — prayer time calculations using your location.
- Apple / Google — in-app purchase processing and payment handling.
- Stripe — web-based subscription billing.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Data Sharing
We may share your information in the following circumstances:
- Service providers — as described in Section 3, to operate the App.
- Legal requirements — when required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
- Safety and fraud prevention — to protect the rights, safety, or property of our users or the public.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case your data would remain subject to this Privacy Policy.
5. Your Rights and Choices
You have the following rights regarding your data:
- Access and update — view and edit your profile information in the App.
- Data export — request and download a copy of your data from your profile settings.
- Delete your account — permanently delete your account and all associated data from your profile settings. This deletes your profile, authentication record, and all stored content.
- Delete chat history — delete individual conversations or your entire AI chat history within the App.
- Deactivate your account — temporarily deactivate your account from your profile settings. Reactivation requires contacting support.
- Control permissions — revoke location, notification, calendar, reminders, camera, or screen-time permissions through your device settings at any time.
- Manage subscriptions — cancel or modify your subscription through your app store account settings or, for web purchases, through your account settings.
6. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App. When you delete your account, we delete your profile data, authentication record, and user-generated content. We may retain certain data as required by law or to resolve disputes.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your data, including encryption in transit and least-privilege access controls. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. International Transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Our third-party providers may store and process data in various locations. We take appropriate steps to ensure your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
9. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
